Who is responsible

gainifyplus publishes this site and is responsible for any personal data described here. Data protection questions can be sent through the Contact page, and will be read by the same editors who keep the file.

What the form collects

The contact form asks for a name, an email address, a subject and a message, plus your confirmation of this notice. Only what you type is collected. Nothing else on the site asks for personal data.

Legal basis and purpose

Messages are processed on the basis of your consent and of our legitimate interest in answering correspondence and in checking factual corrections. The purpose is limited to replying to you and to amending entries where a correction is supported.

Retention

Correspondence is kept while a question is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a later message can be understood in context, and is then deleted. Where a correction changes an entry, the change is kept, but your personal details are not published.

Server logs

The hosting provider records ordinary technical log data such as the requested address, the time of the request, a truncated or full IP address and the browser identifier. Logs exist for security and for keeping the site running, are not used to profile readers, and are deleted on the provider's short retention cycle.

No tracking of any kind

This site runs no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no third-party cookies and no cookie banner, because it sets no cookies. It stores nothing in your browser: no local storage, no session storage, no fingerprinting. One small script is loaded, and its only job is to open and close the navigation menu.

Hosting and processors

The site is served by a hosting provider acting as a processor under a data processing agreement, and email is handled by a mail provider on the same basis. No data is sold, rented or shared for marketing, and no hotel receives your details.

International transfer

Readers write from many countries, so a message may be stored on servers outside your own. Where that happens, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision covering the receiving country.

Your rights

You may ask for access to your data, for correction, for erasure, for restriction of processing, for a portable copy, and you may object to processing. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, which does not affect processing already carried out. Write through the Contact page and we will answer within the period the applicable law allows.

Complaints

If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you may complain to the supervisory authority for data protection where you live or work, or where the alleged problem occurred. You do not need to contact us first, although we would rather fix it.
